We welcome all to worship with us. After service a social time for fellowship and refreshments is held in Ober Hall. First Church is located in the beautiful seacoast town of Kennebunkport in Southern Maine. Enjoy God’s love in action by visiting our worship service and getting to know us.

Our church history started in 1730 when Kennebunkport was known as Arundel and part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Since then, the church was burned, rebuilt near its present location, and later moved to where it now stands. A group branched off and established a new church in the present center of Town. The oversized church was torn down and rebuilt smaller, and has since been enlarged. After 75 years with part time pastors we now have a outstanding full time pastor and we are experiencing growth. We hope that you will consider growing with us in fellowship, worship and faith.

EXTRA TIME SLOT FOR FIRST CHURCH’S LADIES’ SOCIETY’S “LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE TOGETHER” PROGRAM!

Due to the popularity of the first of three segments of the following event an extra time slot for the program has been added! The First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport’s Ladies’ Society, (a social, supportive, service oriented women’s group of the church), is inviting all women of all ages and affiliations to attend “Live, Laugh, Love Together” on Tuesdays, April 10^th, and May 8^th. The Ladies’ will host this event at two time slots, 2:00pm & 6:30pm, so that working women can attend the evening session. This informative and in-depth video series is packed with real women sharing real stories of God’s grace and encouragement. The series offers laughter, maybe some tears, but definitely an amazing experience in every segment. Come feel  renewed and inspired as we share this time together. The program will be facilitated by Cheryl Kane of  First Church and He Cares Ministry. All women of the Kennebunks and surrounding area communities are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend. This Tuesday afternoon series will be held in First Church’s Ober Hall, 141 North St., Kennebunkport, (near Wink’s Store and the Kennebunkport Historical Society).  Light refreshments, coffee or tea will be available.

BLANKET THE WORLD WITH LOVE

 The First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport’s active Outreach Committee is pleased to sponsor “Blanket The World With Love, a project by Church World Service to provide blankets to families in third world countries. First Church will be collecting monetary donations on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13^th. Donations may be made in honor or in memory of a Mother. Church World Service will then purchase the blankets to be distributed.
